How it all began.

Our Founder, Duncan Peel's, career started in the music industry before moving into hospitality with responsibility for big teams, big budgets and smooth UK and International operations.

It was through his pro bono work with the Citizens Advice Bureau that Duncan came across AB Plus and saw an opportunity: he bought the business, gained NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications, built a team of highly skilled associates and transformed it into a consultancy specifically tailored to the needs of independent veterinary practices in the UK.

Twelve years on, that focus has paid off. Duncan is known across the sector not as a typical HR or Health & Safety consultant, but as someone practices enjoy working with and having on site. He is pragmatic, straightforward, and often funnier than expected for someone talking about Health & Safety or risk assessments!

His mission has stayed the same throughout his time in the veterinary industry: keep practices safe.
